We provide the lowdown on our Gyproc filler ranges and the best solution for your job.

When it comes to small decorating jobs like filling repairs, you want to make your life easy, right? Enter our EasiFill and EasiFiller ranges – the clue is in the name!

With eight products in the range you’re probably wondering whether to opt for the ready-mixed fillers or powder filler. There’s no doubt a ready-mixed option is convenient, but some tradespeople will prefer a powder option that can be mixed to their preferred consistency.

Gyproc EasiFill Range

Let’s kick off with our powder fillers: the Gyproc EasiFill rangewhich features Gyproc EasiFill 20, Gyproc EasiFill 45 and Gyproc EasiFill 60. You’ll have spotted these numbers and yes, you guessed right, this number relates to the product’s recommended working time.

Gyproc EasiFill is easy to mix – you simply add the powder to water and mix it until you reach the correct consistency, apply, allow to dry, then sand. As the consistency of a powdered product can be controlled it can make them suitable for filling slightly deeper holes as a thicker mix can mean less slumping.

For example, if you have a large area that requires a fair bit of work you may wish to use EasiFill 60 as you’ll have more working time to complete the job. If you’re in a rush and you need to get the filler sanded so you can paint, EasiFill 20 is the way to go.

Surface preparation is important before application and therefore the background should be sound, reasonably dry, clean and dust free. Any glossy painted surfaces should be lightly sanded and then wiped down in order to provide a suitable ‘key’. Do bear in mind that atmospheric conditions can determine the length of drying time.
