Team Artex gear up for the Pavestone Rally to raise money for charity

From Dover to Monte Carlo… Team Artex take an old banger across Europe to fundraise for the Rainy Day Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

A team of four from Artex will take to the roads of Europe from 7th to 11th September to raise £10,000 for charity.

Amy Smith, Phil Padley, Ted Elliott and Pete Temprell have selected the all-important car – an old banger worth just £450! – and are now busy choosing fancy dress and securing sponsorship to help them reach their challenging £10,000 target for the Rainy Day Trust and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Pavestone Rally will see Amy, Phil, Ted and Pete set off from Dover and then drive through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Italy before ending their challenge in Monte Carlo.

With eye-catching cars and crazy fancy dress, the rally is sure to attract attention!

Team organiser Amy Smith said: “We’re one of 43 teams taking part and are hoping for some great camaraderie as we do our best to raise money for these two fantastic charities.

“We’re overwhelmed by the generous support pledged so far and hope we do our backers proud. Keep an eye on our social media and give us a cheer!”
